Wind whipped fiercely against the snow covered branches of trees, knocking piles of fluffy white to the ground. In the still moments, the ice seemed to shine under the full moon, a field of twinkling diamond surrounded by dark and eerie woods. A howl stretched up towards the sky, expanding and giving its message to the night. A figure bounded forward, feet thundering against the hard earth.
With heavy breaths and a lolling pink tongue, the wolf-man slowed. He had run for so long already and was now weary of the chase. Though his humanoid form was covered by fur and thus protected from the elements, he desired to be out of the biting cold and somewhere warm instead. The sound of bubbling reached his ears, causing them to twitch towards the distant, yet constant noise.
With a destination in mind, the furred beast pressed onward, crossing through forest and field until he saw it. There in front of him was a cabin. Secluded. Based on scent, currently uninhabited. And most importantly: safe. There he could rest. There he could be warm. Walking forward, the creature came across the hot tub, bubbling and beckoning with warmth. Eagerly he climbed inside, a low rumble of happiness lingering in his throat as he slid down to relax.
